Wine Making Like all other Churchill’s Ports, the component wines of this Reserve blend have been vinified in traditional granite lagares (treading tanks). After fermentation, the wine goes through an ageing period in seasoned oak casks for an average of 20 years. The wines are then blended to house style before bottling.
Tasting notes A pale red tawny colour with a golden rim. A delicate nose of almonds and red Moreno cherries. Savoury and rich on the palate, without losing the grip, it’s a combination of age and finesse, finishing long and fresh.
Food pairing Hard, nutty cheese or a pudding such as apple pie or tarte tatin
Serving Recommendations Serve chilled (10º-12º C) straight from the bottle. No need to decant. Once opened it will keep well for up to one month.
