Grape Varieties Field blend from old vineyards (+50 years) including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Francisca and Tinto Cão.
Wine Making The juice is gently pumped over the skins during fermentation which is long and even ensuring good aromatic and poliphenolic extraction. 100% of this wine is aged for 12-15 months in new French oak casks.
Tasting Notes A solid deep violet colour. A rich combination of floral and herbal aromas with cedarwood and resinous undertones. Powerful but elegant and well structured, with a juicy middle palate, ending in a long and complex finish.
Food Pairing Red meat dishes like Roast Beef, Tender Loin of Lamb and Seared Duck Breast.
Serving Recommendations Serve just below room temperature 16-18ºC.
