The producer A winemaker turned wine producer, Susana hails from Galicia in Spain, but made her reputation as a winemaker in the Douro. She has now relocated to the Alentejo and makes small quantities of hand-crafted, highly expressive wines from old vineyards. She decided to call this wine Aventura to celebrate her decision to produce her own wines.
Winemaking This wine is fermented in small, temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and unoaked to allow the pure expression of fresh, clean fruit characters to shine through.
Tasting Notes Fresh, fruity and elegant, with a lovely floral hint. Soft and velvety, fruity and balanced with vibrant freshness and soul. Elegant and polished with good ageing potential.
Food Pairing Excellent with all kinds of meat dishes, especially grilled meats such as Bar Douro’s Presa Iberica.
